Here are some new photos of Scarlett Johansson at the Golden Camera Awards in Germany over the weekend. She looks weird, right? Her face looks different to me, but I’m thinking it’s just a makeup change and weight loss rather than tweaking. Scarlett does look like she’s lost weight all over, although she’s being helped along by the built-in corset in this Calvin Klein dress. She looks good – well, she looks BETTER. She’s looked like hell for most of the last year, like Sean Penn sucked the pretty right out of her. It’s good to see her go back to a lighter hair color and really try to look sexy and va-va-voom.
Maybe she looks better because she has a new dude in her life? She’s allegedly been dating New York ad man Nate Naylor for the past six months… which I don’t believe. I don’t think she’s been with someone for six months and we’ve only heard about him this past week. But that’s their story, so whatever. At first I was really happy that Scarlett went for a non-celebrity guy with an actual career, but as more is written about this Naylor guy, the more suspicious I am. It seems like he’s really trying to use Scarlett to launch himself as… something. Here’s the suspicious People Mag article about him:

that’s exactly what I was going to say! that’s why she looks weird, she’s staring off into space. other than that, I think her hair, makeup, and dress are pretty great.

I agree that she looks vacant, empty almost – like someone just took the external shell of hers and sent it to the event, while she stayed home to watch TV.
But what is much worse to me is her eye makeup. She’s started looking especially haggard and used up over the last year, but these pictures do not feel me with hope. Whoever her makeup person is needs to be fired.
What they did to her eyes is simply criminal. They turned them into slits! Her lower eyelids, because of how the liner is applied, look swollen to 5 times the normal size. The lines over-extended out to her temples make the eyes appear squinty and give her face weirder shape than usual. The blush and foundation tones are way too light, and combined with the severe color and heavey-handed dress design, instead of making her look glowing and young, turned her into a picture of a sickly, anemic gauntness.
Her body looks much better though with the weight loss – her petite frame and natural curves loose their appeal the minute she gets too ‘puffy’.
As to the ‘boyfriend’ – Whoa! Run girl, run! (potential Natalie Portman/Ben Milliepied situation ver 2.0). Now we know how he became successful. He is HIS OWN BIGGEST ADMIRER! Those ‘facts’ he planted with the magazine are ridiculous puff-pieces meant to get him name recognition and, dare I say, satissfy his fame-wh0riness.
‘Scarlett should be so lucky’- ? WTF ??Just based on the article he leaked I think she should be very leery of him and his motives. He comes across much more interested in BEING WITH HER than IN HER.

I wouldnt judge it based on those pictures. not only what i mentioned below that is freezing cold in germany at the moment but also that its a meaningless award show.
like lots of other award shows they make up categories to give certain stars an award, not based on actual merit. its more like “we give you a nice looking golden camera, 50,000€, pay for the travel and hotel and then you come to our award show so we have “hollywood glamour”.

I think she’s had a couple of nose surgeries. Her nose is totally different from what it was 10 years ago.
That’s the best makeup job I’ve seen on anyone in a loooong time. Plays out her best features but doesn’t overwhelm them, isn’t garish or cookie cutter. She should keep that makeup artist.

I thought the exact same thing. Potentially, it’s the cut of the dress. Sometimes, a dress top will squash your b00bs to look flatter than they really are (you have that effect with Spandex sports tops, for example). But who knows… maybe she had a breast reduction? Ha! Like women in Brazil?
It looks like her overall weight loss also took away some fat from her boobs. That is typical. Most women will lose breast fat when they lose weight unless the breasts are fake. She looks 15 pounds lighter in these photos compared to what she looked like last year. This is actually the skinniest I’ve ever seen her look in her 20s.
If I remember correctly, she was much slimmer, and hotter, when she was promoting Iron Man at ComiCon, and her boobs where still there.
She looks really small in the chest area here. Ah well, at least she is slowly losing the Sean-Penn-dirty-sheen of sleaze, and is starting to look a tad (a tad!) like her formal self. And note to those criticizing her new man: It seems that she had always been attracted to that type of man. Remember her reported tryst with Benecio Del Toro?

At first I just thought she was looking really pale and washed out, for her, then I scrolled through the pictures more…there is something going on with her mouth. Either she is really pissed and can’t stop clenching her lips, or she did something. May not have been major, as she doesn’t look worlds different, but it just looks odd.
As for thin, nah. I don’t really think so. Though, I must say, I don’t remember seeing her in a gown/dress for a long while…I keep seeing her in Avengers garb or street clothes. But she doesn’t look particularly thin to me.
Also, she looks pretty tired to me. She just has bags that are looking bad. Not really horrible, but at the first picture when I was looking for something to be different, the first thing that caught my eye were her eyes. Partly due to the makeup, which I think if she didn’t look so tired would nice, but mostly the attempt to cover it up.
Overall, she doesn’t look bad here. Doesn’t look great, but this doesn’t seem like a huge event. The dress is alright. Nothing too special, but nothing really boring.

I think she’s had a lot of stress to deal with in the last year. That kind of trauma can take a toll on you. She looks better than she has (altho probably frozen poor thing) but she isn’t a 21 yo kitten anymore, that’s for sure. Will be interesting to see how she ages and where her career takes her.

ohhhhhh Gwen, ITA. At a wedding I attended a few years back, the bride (in a strapless gown) was fully rocking her “Mom-Mom” heart tattoo on her upper arm. I hate to judge, but I’m so glad I listened to my mother’s advice about tattoos when I was younger. (Thank gawd my cliche tramp stamp can’t be seen in formal attire)

I don’t like the fit of that dress. It looks like it’s too wide for her around the hips and waist and too small around the boobs, pushing them downwards as if they’re saggy. If it really has a ‘built-in corset’, it’s probably not the right size for her. Overall, not a flattering choice. Her face looks lovely, though. I can’t really tell if she had plastical surgery, but I’m inclined to say that she didn’t. She’s getting older and her face is changing, that may just be it. Love the winged eyeliner, by the way. I always try to put mine on like that but you need a really steady hand.

I think she’s past her prime. She is only 27 but she looks way older (not in a Lohan kind of way though). I don’t think she has aged well and she certainly can no longer do the young ingenue roles she is famous for. I’m anxious to see what happens to her career-wise in the next few years.
Yes, she seems to have lost some of her sex appeal and mystery. Maybe those leaked nude photos have something to do with that along with just a loss of that youthful spark she had before. I admit, I am in my late 20s and I wish I could look the same as I did when I was 24. Five years can change a person a lot. Your metabolism slows, skin loses its elasticity, the boobs get droopier, and even grey hairs crop up. I feel like I definitely have to put in the extra effort to look good that I didn’t have to do in my early to mid 20s. Maybe Scarlett is also battling aging and some stress from her divorce, breakup with Penn, and the leaked nude photos. Whatever it is, she doesn’t look as good as before even though the weight loss has improved her overall look. She’s an attractive woman but now she looks plain as opposed to when she was curvier and had a unique look to her.
You know, I saw an interview with her years ago and I was shocked by how uninteresting, dull, vapid and clueless she is; her response to questions, her life in general. I think that vacant look is just a manifestation of the reality that there’s really very little going on inside her head. She just does nothing for me. Her looks are *meh.

I’m not a Scarlett apologist, but they had 6°F in Berlin last night, and then there’s the six hour time difference. Traveling to the east (New York to Berlin) is usually harder to cope with. No wonder she seems slightly out of it.

The gown, though beautiful, is made for someone 6-10 inches taller than Ms. Johannsen. On her, it is saggy across the bust and pelvis, tight across the thighs, too long for her torso, and accentuates her back fat and lack of height.
A stylist worth her/his salt would know this in an instant.
The earrings and bracelet are excellent accessories, but that tatt is totally 4th grade. Zonkers.
Also, the cut of the gown begs for some loose waves for a complementary hairdo, and less severe eye makeup, ie, a smokey eye would work much better and a non glittery lipcolor. This look is not pulled together.

I don’t think she had anything done. She’s lost weight before and it always shows in her boobs and face.
The last few times she lost more weight and it made her face very sharp looking, then she gained it and it went round again.
Her lips have been huge since she was a child, maybe if she was 45 and still has the same lips I will say she is using fillers to KEEP her lips the same as lips get smaller as we age..but as of now I just see weight loss.
Also, her lipstick is a little weird, like its two colors, bright red colors where the lips ought to be and pale pink at the corners.

Yup, ScarJo looks better with more weight on her. Changing her body to be the black widow is pretty much her worst career move to date. She looks pear shaped now, which wouldn’t be a problem, except she doesn’t have a particularly nice butt or legs. I also think the lower weight may be making her look older than she might have looked with a fuller face.

Her hair is not the best, looks lazy and not effortless beautiful. The gown was a classic structure that will look good in pics years from now, so that’s cool.
